Peran Militer dalam Kontra-Terorisme di Indonesia

Abstract


Tulisan ini berargumen bahwasanya keterlibatan militer dibutuhkan negara dalam kegiatan kontra-terorisme di Indonesia. Seiring dengan perkembangannya, aktivitas terorisme sekarang ini bertujuan untuk merebut wilayah negara dan mengendalikan sumber daya yang dimilikinya. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, struktur teritorial militer dan keahliannya dalam intelijen dan pertempuran dapat menjadi aset berharga bagi negara dalam melawan terorisme. Meskipun demikian, mekanisme kontrol secara politik tetap dibutuhkan untuk menjamin bahwa kegiatan kontra terorisme sesuai dengan perundang-undangan yang berlaku.
